This chair is built in the spirit of 18th century chairs from Welsh museum collections and Upper Canada Village here in Ontario. Ash legs, hand split from the log, with "colts-foot" turnings; elm seat saddled with adze and in shave; spindles of riven ash, and elm arm and crest rail.
